Cover Reveal - Watts and Whiskerton Book 4

It's June my next Watts and Whiskerton book has just gone off to print. It's a wintry mystery set on a steam train so I have spent the past year or two drawing snow. (Book three is also a snow-filled adventure.)

It will be published in November when we're all wrapped up hats and mittens again.

 Hello! This is an exciting day because I can finally reveal the cover for Watts and Pearl's next adventure: The Great Glacier Hotel Heist.

Watts is looking forward to a holiday at the Great Glacier Hotel and Ski Resort. But when they arrive, his and Pearl's quiet vacation soon turns into another high-stakes investigation: the priceless Ice Crystal has been stolen from the hotel safe, and his parents are the prime suspects!

Today I'm excited to share the cover of the next Watts and Whiskerton mystery: Sabotage at the Fete Cake Bake.

Budding detective Watts is back in Little Gossip to visit the Whiskertons and attend the village fete bake off. He's looking forward to a fun weekend, but then disaster strikes when the ovens flood with batter and accusations of sabotage begin to fly!

Watts and Whiskerton: Buried Bones and Troublesome Treasure

My new book, Watts and Whiskerton: Buried Bones and Troublesome Treasure, published last month. It's been really nice to see copies of it out and about in the world but I'm in the middle of illustrating Watts and Pearl's next adventure so I haven't really taken a moment to stop and properly appreciate that book one is out in the world. 

So let's a little look at the insides.

Watts is sent to Whsiskerton Manor for a holiday. There he meets his soon-to-be new best friend, Pearl Whiskerton.

Pearl gives Watts a tour of Whiskerton Manor. This was a fun spread to draw.

But soon a mysterious series of events occur and Watts and Pearl find themselves with four mysteries to solve.

    Are these four mysterious cases connected?

Peep! is out tomorrow.  To celebrate I made this little gif of Dot.  She is patience personified.  Unlike my own dog who only stares out the window to bark at passing cars, the postman and the wind.

I've been playing around with different ways to colour black and white images and I've found a nice digital brush that I like.  It's a lot faster than my usual method so that's a bonus.  Here are a few of my experiments.

Nana

A little picture of Nana from Peter Pan by J. M. Barrie.   I drew it a while back but I've only just got round to colouring it in.  I was interested to read that she was a Newfoundland.  My friend has a black Newfoundland called Hamish who is a whopping great dog and a big softie.  So I've borrowed him for my Nana.
